My training practices incorporate various movements designed
to utilize the body as a spherical entity rather than training the body in a
linear fashion. Our bodies are designed
to move in a myriad of correct ways. Moving in an incorrect manner over a period of
time will produce a body that is out of balance. A well-balanced/well-conditioned body
should be able to perform the basic functions of everyday life. Those functions
include walking, standing, lifting, running, pulling, squeezing, jumping, and carrying things to name a few. In addition, for the person engaged in a sport specific
activity, their body must be able to perform at optimal levels. My training practices
address all of those needs in a detailed, systemic approach. I design programs based on each person’s
unique requirements, with each session building upon the previous one.
I consider myself demanding yet flexible; fun while
remaining intense. I feel that true
confidence is a result of genuine success. That said I am not a cheerleader
and I do not sugar coat progress when nothing is earned. You get out what you
put in. I am energetic and passionate about what I do and I love working with
clients who are receptive to that energy.
My personal training practices include boxing, kickboxing,
resistance work, yoga, aikido, cardio, and internal power development. I am a
big proponent of high intensity training and interval work. I have worked with
professional athletes, dancers, gymnasts, corporate execs, and work from home
parents. Some of my greatest successes have been with people who for the most
part have been sedentary for most of their lives but have decided to become active and healthy.
